Position: Warehouse Clerk
Pay: ÂŁ26,774 per annum (ÂŁ12.87 per hour)
Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks temporary, then permanent upon successful 9‑week probation)
Location: Montrose, DD10
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:54 am – 4:30 pm; Friday 7:54 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours per week, 30‑minute unpaid lunch each day)

Role
- Adhere to H&S policies and procedures on site.
- Order stock based on customer requirements.
- Expedite and maintain order books – check upcoming orders and chase delivery times.
- Raise purchase orders (POs) on behalf of customers, complete weekly stock cycling/count checks, and keep the team informed.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and stock movements on client and customer systems.
- Resolve purchasing and supplier invoice queries.
- Take autonomy and responsibility of the warehouse/stores area, implementing initiative alongside managerial guidance to improve operational efficiency and customer effectiveness.
- Maintain housekeeping stores and office area, applying 5S principles.
The Successful Candidate
- Basic IT literacy – professional email correspondence and use of MS Office for data entry, with ability to adapt to ERP systems on site.
- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with customers professionally and effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure situations.
- Experience in admin or customer‑facing roles within MRO, engineering, or supply chain sectors is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Capacity to meet physical demands and show initiative, willingness, and proactivity in training.
- Use of a forklift or pivot truck required; full training will be provided.
