Role Overview

The Sales Account Lead is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of advertiser and sponsor relationships. This role combines relationship management, consultative sales, and light strategy—ideal for someone who thrives in a flexible, part-time environment and enjoys working directly with clients.

Sales & Business Development

  • Prospect and qualify new leads aligned with the company’s audience and offerings
  • Pitch advertising, sponsorship, and custom media solutions
  • Support deal structuring, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with leadership on revenue strategy and pipeline management

Account Management & Revenue Growth

  • Manage a portfolio of existing advertising, sponsorship, and media partner accounts
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients and agency partners
  • Identify renewal opportunities across media offerings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts

Campaign Coordination

  • Work with Carbon Herald team to ensure smooth execution
  • Monitor performance and support client reporting and wrap-ups

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and revenue performance
  • Provide regular updates on renewals, new deals, and account health

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in media sales, advertising sales, sponsorships, or related roles
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills
  • Comfort working independently and managing multiple accounts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with newsletters or trade publications preferred
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) a plus

Compensation

Monthly retainer-based compensation, plus commission. Compensation commensurate with experience.
