Reports To: Operations Director

Works Closely With: Creative Studio, Digital Studio, Senior Digital Project Manager, Designers, Developers, Motion Designers, Strategists, Creative Leads, Digital Leads, Finance and Clients.

Purpose of the Role: The Studio Delivery Manager helps turn client needs into clear briefs, organised workflows and successful delivery. This is a hybrid role combining account management, client service and project coordination. The primary purpose is to ensure that briefs are captured clearly, studio teams are set up to deliver efficiently, clients are kept informed, and work is delivered on time, on budget and to Carbon’s standards. This role is designed for someone with solid agency experience, likely around 3-4 years, who is ready to grow into Carbon’s specific operating model. Experience in a small or medium-sized creative, design, integrated, marketing or digital agency environment would be ideal, particularly with exposure to design, print, brand, campaign, creative production or motion projects. The successful candidate will be trained in Carbon’s systems, processes and ways of working before being expected to optimise, improve or evolve them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication & Brief Management: Act as a clear, professional and responsive day-to-day contact for clients and projects. Receive, interpret and translate client requests into clear internal briefs, actions and priorities so studio teams have the information they need to deliver effectively. Ask the right questions at briefing stage to clarify objectives, audiences, formats, deadlines, budgets, deliverables and approval routes. Keep clients informed throughout delivery with timely updates, meeting notes, follow-ups and clear communication. Manage client feedback, amendments and approvals in a calm, structured and accurate way. Help maintain strong client confidence in Carbon’s delivery quality and reliability.
  • Studio Delivery Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day flow of work between clients and the Creative and Digital Studios, ensuring briefs, assets, timings, responsibilities, tasks and project information are clear, accurate and kept up to date within Carbon’s systems. Work closely with designers, developers, motion designers and project leads to keep work progressing. Identify blockers, risks, missing information or scope changes early and elevate where required. Support proofing, checking, version control, feedback management and delivery administration.
  • Commercial Control & Billing Discipline: Help ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, budget and timeline. Track job progress against agreed estimates, retainers, budgets or delivery plans. Alert potential over-servicing, scope creep, delays or commercial risk early. Support accurate billing by ensuring completed work, chargeable activity and project milestones are recorded and communicated. Identify, unlock and progress opportunities for additional briefs, follow-on work or added value that support healthy studio utilisation and client growth.
  • Process, Systems & Carbon Ways of Working: Learn, apply and champion Carbon’s internal systems, processes and EOS rhythms. Follow Carbon’s established briefing, workflow, project management, communication and delivery processes. Maintain high standards of organisation, documentation and administration. Contribute positively to internal meetings, delivery reviews and Level 10 rhythms where required. Once embedded, suggest thoughtful improvements to systems and workflows based on evidence and team experience.
  • Creative, Design, Print & Motion Delivery Support: Support the delivery of creative studio projects including brand, design, campaign assets, print, presentation materials, motion and content production. Understand the practical requirements of creative delivery, including artwork stages, feedback rounds, proofing, production timelines, supplier coordination and approval processes. Help protect creative quality by ensuring briefs are accurate and feedback is clear. Digital delivery knowledge would be beneficial, particularly where projects involve websites, digital campaigns, content, UX, email, social or integrated outputs.
  • Client Growth & Relationship Development: Build trusted relationships with clients through reliability, clarity and care. Stay close to client needs and upcoming requirements to help maintain a steady flow of work into the studio. Spot opportunities where Carbon can support clients further and raise these with the appropriate internal lead. Lead on building estimates, scopes of work and follow-on recommendations where required.

Experience & Skills Required: Around 3-4 years’ experience in a creative, design, integrated or digital agency environment. Experience in a small or medium-sized (5-15 people) agency environment. Experience coordinating client work, studio projects, creative delivery or account activity. A good understanding of creative production processes, ideally across design, print, brand, campaign, artwork or motion. Strong communication skills and the ability to keep clients and internal teams aligned. Excellent organisation, attention to detail and follow-through. Confidence managing multiple live jobs, priorities, deadlines and stakeholders. Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, scope, timelines and the importance of billing work accurately. The ability to write clear briefs, meeting notes, status updates and project actions. A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Advantageous Experience: Exposure to both creative and digital project delivery. Experience working with retainers, studio schedules, project management tools or agency workflow systems (Basecamp) or (Synergist). Understanding of artwork, print production, motion workflows, website projects or digital campaign delivery. Experience supporting estimates, statements of work, billing or account forecasting.
