As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, safety and compliance of complex software and hardware systems. You will support the planning, execution and reporting of V&V activities across the full systems engineering lifecycle, contributing to high-profile defence and mission-critical programmes.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team environment, delivering complex systems across multiple domains, with a strong focus on collaboration, quality and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote best practice across the full Verification & Validation lifecycle in line with industry standards
- Plan, execute and report on V&V activities using approved tools and processes
- Lead or support engineers in delivering defined work packages
- Contribute to key project documentation including requirements, estimates, plans and reviews
- Participate in design reviews, integration, acceptance testing and diagnostics
- Investigate defects, resolve issues and report progress to stakeholders
- Apply IVVTQA principles and supporting systems engineering activities across requirements, design, integration and acceptance
Requirements
Essential:
- Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Control Systems or similar
- 5+ years' experience delivering IVVTQA / Verification & Validation within a systems engineering environment
- Experience with requirements/tools such as DOORS (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of V&V processes within defence or regulated industries
- Ability to support, mentor or supervise junior engineers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience in safety-critical or highly regulated environments
- Exposure to complex, multi-domain or mission-critical systems
