About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Analytical Scientist / Team Leader to join our Synergy team. In this key leadership role, you'll lead and develop an on-site analytical team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality testing activities in a GMP-regulated environment. You'll play a critical role in supporting the Analytical Leadership and Testing (ALT) function, working closely with customer lab leaders and scientific teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Technical & Operational Leadership
    • Lead the planning, execution and troubleshooting of analytical testing activities
    • Work with techniques such as HPLC, Karl Fischer titration, and dissolution testing
    • Review and approve analytical data and results
    • Support method validation and development activities
    • Ensure compliance with cGMP and ALCOA+ data integrity principles
    • Contribute to audit readiness and regulatory inspection preparation
    • Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Manage and develop a team of 3+ scientists
    • Lead onboarding, training, and performance management
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and compliance
    • Coach and support team members to drive high performance
  • Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
    • Build strong relationships with lab teams
    • Communicate progress, challenges, and successes clearly
    • Represent Synergy with professionalism and integrity at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Experience & Qualifications
    • Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar
    • Strong expertise in HPLC and related analytical techniques
    • Experience analysing oral solid dose formulations
    • Proven team leadership experience (2+ years) in a GMP environment
