They are looking to hire a Product Development Engineer. The role suits someone passionate about engineering, thrives on solving complex challenges, and wants to work directly with customers on cutting-edge projects. Main Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product development from concept to launch
- Design and create tools, drawings, and components using SolidWorks
- Program and optimize machining processes with FeatureCAM (or similar)
- Conduct tool trials, lifecycle testing, and high-level inspections (CMM / ISIR / FAIRs)
- Develop work instructions and lead customer communications for R&D projects
- Support non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience
- Expertise in SolidWorks, machining principles, and tool design
- Skilled in FeatureCAM or similar CAM software
- A natural leader and mentor with excellent communication skills
- Advanced IT skills - Excel, presentations, data systems
- Engineering qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship, HNC/HND/BSc
- Desirable: Experience in rubber moulding technology
