Carbon60 is looking to recruit a Condition Surveyor to work for a leading public Authority based in Preston.
ROLE: Condition Surveyor
PAY RATE: £28/hour via Umbrella
JOB TYPE: 2 Months contract
LOCATION: Preston (Primarily remote with occasional attendance required)
HOURS: Monday - Friday 08:00 am to 04:00 pm
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Condition Surveyor with a mechanical bias to carry out surveys across schools and corporate buildings. The role involves assessing mechanical systems such as boilers and heating equipment, noting their condition, approximate age, and any required actions. You will be working alongside an Electrical Condition Surveyor to complete overall building condition assessments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out condition surveys on mechanical building services
- Record details on boilers, heating systems, and associated equipment
- Provide clear and accurate survey reports
- Attend meetings at locations in Preston when required
- Work with other surveyors to complete site assessments
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Experience in condition surveying or building services (mechanical/M&E)
- Basic understanding of heating systems and plant equipment
- Ability to complete and report surveys accurately
- Comfortable working across multiple sites
- Experience working on public sector or local authority projects (Desirable not Essential)
- Background in surveying schools or similar buildings (Desirable not Essential)
