Job Type: Temporary

Duration: 12 months (initial)

Territory: London and surrounding area (some travel across UK & Ireland also anticipated)

SRG are working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry to find a MSL for a 12 month contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates currently working within a field-facing Medical Affairs role to shift into a great team and work with a strong pipeline.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Interact on behalf of the Medical Affairs team with KOLs/thought leaders across the UK concerning their needs for scientific knowledge in chosen therapeutic area
  • Provide quality scientific exchange or education programmes on scientific matters to physicians and other relevant HCPs.
  • Assisting the Med Managers, Medical Advisors with business/clinical strategy and tactical plan development
  • Maintaining business & medical knowledge of chosen therapeutic area, including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, plus new therapeutic developments

Skills/experience required:

  • Doctor's Degree in Medicine or Pharmacy or PhD ideally (Advanced degree strongly preferred or equivalent by experience)
  • Needs prior experience in the following areas: pharmaceutical field-based experience (ideally MSL) and/or pharmaceutical industry related experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and operate well cross-functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing Medical Affairs incl. ABPI and other related Codes of Practice
  • Possess a keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned Disease area/product(s) and in medical research in general
