Main Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Officer will support the implementation of integrated marketing strategies designed to attract, engage, and convert a diverse pipeline of high‑calibre applicants for FMS programmes. The postholder will assist in delivering global marketing plans, develop strong programme knowledge, support digital marketing, CRM, and event activities, and collaborate with academic and professional colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Expertise & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain in‑depth knowledge of FMS programmes, research activity, and key audiences.
- Develop strong working relationships with academic leads, professional staff, and external partners.
- Support delivery of marketing events and campaigns across digital and in‑person channels.
- Align faculty activities with wider marketing, recruitment, and applicant experience strategies.
- Participate in marketing groups, communities of practice, and shared working groups.
- Programme Marketing & Applicant Journey
- Implement marketing plans to support lead generation, nurturing, and applicant conversion.
- Create marketing content for web, social media, email, and paid digital channels.
- Support production of programme copy for prospectuses and CRM content.
- Assist in planning and optimisation of paid media campaigns.
- Coordinate Student Ambassadors for events and outreach.
- Manage CRM workflows, newsletters, and event logistics.
- Deliver targeted marketing initiatives supporting student diversity goals.
- Marketing Data, Insights & Performance
- Produce analytics reports for monthly and annual performance reviews.
- Conduct audience and competitor research.
- Provide recommendations for optimising channels and messaging.
- Compliance, EDI & Sustainability
- Ensure marketing activities comply with GDPR, CMA, and Accessibility Regulations.
- Embed equality, diversity, and inclusion principles into marketing outputs.
- Contribute to sustainability and net‑zero initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations.
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience implementing marketing activities within a busy environment.
