Carbon60 is looking for an Engineering Specialist to join the training team based at Portsmouth.

Pay Rate: 41K Per Annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Portsmouth PO12

Shift Timing: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm, early finish Fridays (37.5 hours per week)

THE ROLE

  • Deliver classroom-based training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and machine principles.
  • Conduct practical laboratory sessions, demonstrating key concepts and supervising trainee activities.
  • Mark assessments and ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain, update and improve training materials in collaboration with the Training Design team.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Foundation Degree, HND/FdSc, or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline or significant practical/teaching experience within Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience teaching technical subjects to adults.
  • Level 4 teaching qualification.
  • Experience with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) or similar framework.
