Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organisation on a 6-month contract based in Leek. This is a day-based role supporting maintenance activities within a highly regulated industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
- Perform pipefitting and mechanical maintenance tasks
- Conduct basic electrical fault-finding and diagnostics
- Undertake function testing and signal checking
- Execute flange repairs and maintenance
- Isolate and maintain pumps and agitators safely
- Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and compliance standards
- Support continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment
- Strong background in pipework, pumps, vessels, and flanges
- Basic electrical fault-finding capability
- Experience with equipment isolation procedures (LOTO)
- Hands-on experience within one or more of the following industries: Chemical / Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences, FMCG / Manufacturing, Oil & Gas / Refinery, Power Generation / Waste-to-Energy / Steel

- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Flexible and adaptable to site requirements
