The company specialises in producing high quality fabrication and welding for projects within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. They have an excellent opportunity for a sheet metal worker to join the mechanical engineering team working within their well-equipped and well-ventilated workshop in Tutbury.
The position is best suited to someone who has extensive sheet metal work and general fabrication experience, particularly working with stainless steel sheet to produce finished items. The work is extremely varied and will include the fabrication of storage tanks, vessels, troughs, duct work and a variety of bespoke one-off pieces. All the work will be produced from engineering drawings supplied by the design team, so knowledge of reading technical specifications is essential along with experience of using the full range of workshop tools.
Responsibilities:- Fabricate 3mm sheet metal to produce bespoke engineering pieces.
- Working from technical engineering drawings.
- Working with materials such as stainless steel and mild steel.
- Polishing and finishing pieces to hygiene standard.
- Time served or Qualified fabricator/sheet metal worker.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- TIG welding experience would be beneficial.
- Full UK Driving licence as there may be site works.
- Live within a commutable distance of DE13 9LY.
