Environmental Health Officer We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Environment Health Officer to help protect and improve the well-being of the Southampton's resident. If you're committed to making difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Salary: £29.59/ hour + shift allowance Duration: 3 Months Location: Southampton Shift patterns: 7:30 to 4:00 pm ( one week per month Monday-Friday 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm / Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm ) for a total of 37 hours/ week / Possibility of working from home. Your will be responsible for: Conduct surveys, investigations, and inspections, prepare reports, legal notices, and correspondence Review development proposals, provide advice, and take appropriate action. Stay updated on current legislation, policies, and new developments, ensuring compliance and undergoing relevant training. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide coordinated services and formulate policies Assist with promotional, educational activities, and ongoing studies to improve Porth Health Service PerformanceThe ideal candidate: EHORB Certificate Strong knowledge of Environmental Health legislation and best practices to ensure compliance with statutory duties. Experience of Porth Health work is preferable – some training will be given Experience with the formal enforcement actions, including prosecutions, adhering to council policies Excellent customer care skills, handling complex issues to deliver positive experiences Team player with proven ability to support and contribute to team objectives Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising workloads and meeting deadline.
