We are seeking an experienced Social Housing Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment and improvement programme within an occupied housing environment. The role involves coordinating site activities, ensuring high standards of workmanship, and maintaining strong communication with residents, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across a social housing scheme.
- Oversee the installation of cavity wall insulation, new windows and doors, door undercuts, and a new ventilation system.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring productivity and compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, resolve issues, and provide regular progress updates.
- Maintain excellent resident liaison and uphold customer care standards in occupied properties.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Manage materials, deliveries, and site documentation efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing similar upgrade/refurbishment projects within the social housing sector.
- Strong understanding of insulation, window and door installation, and ventilation systems.
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices on live, occupied sites.
- Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain high-quality standards.
- IT‑literate with the ability to complete reports and maintain site records.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- CSCS card (Managerial level preferred).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Asbestos Awareness (Category A).
