Role: Controls Specialist Sector: Energy Management / Smart Buildings Location: Glasgow – Hybrid Start Date: January 2024 Duration: 6-Months + Possible Extensions Rates: £350 – £500 D.O.E Inside IR35 via Umbrella Clearance: BPSS (DBS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK The ideal candidate for the control specialist role is someone that can demonstrate they have served as a commissioning engineer in the building controls industry for at least 2-3 years. The requirement is within the BEMS space for Energy Management Centre that delivers application support for our Smart Buildings business. The key skills we are looking for are as follows: Ideally, we would like them to have Distech controls knowledge and is able to do applications work from a description of operation. Additionally, we would also like them to demonstrate they have worked on improving energy performance, by analysing current control strategies and looking at ways to help by improving the energy performance whilst not compromising the comfort conditions in the building. Can demonstrate they have done integrations, I would like to know what integrations they have specifically done, what were the protocols they integrated with. Are able to work with and mentor junior technical helpdesk colleagues teaching them troubleshooting measures, who to approach problems and how to identify how to correct them, passing on their knowledge and experience.Carbon60, Lorien & SRG – The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
