Carbon60 is working alongside a leading aviation company in the UK for a Check Manager. We are looking for UKCAA B licensed engineers with type ratings on A320, 737 and/or 777 as well holding C certification. The role will be based at Manchester or Birmingham Airport as soon as possible. The ideal candidates will have the opportunity to work for a fantastic UK aviation company that offers an excellent remuneration and benefits package.

The Check Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure regulatory compliance.

Job Description for Check Manager:

  • Delivering allocated maintenance inputs, projects, and company initiatives to schedule.
  • Line managing staff, assisting base maintenance management team, and allocating tasks and responsibilities as required.
  • Issue certificates of release to service for the specific aircraft type within the scope of limitations of their QA044 Staff Authorisation Document.
  • Deliver staff briefings and maintain progress log against tasks and updating Senior Management as required.
  • Overcome barriers to ensure maintenance is on time and budget.
  • Ensure a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance.
  • Undertake husbandry and tool audits ensuring requirements are carried out and recorded.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness.

Skills and Experience Requirements for Check Manager:

  • Category B licensed engineers must hold C certification by aircraft type.
  • Must hold a B737 and/or B777 and/or A320.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in base maintenance as certifying staff.
  • Good knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
