Health and Safety Manager - Waste & Landfill Operations (National Role)
The Role
- Lead risk and assurance across landfill, energy recovery facilities, agricultural services, and construction operations.
- Establish strategic vision for R&A function, develop team capability, oversee planned maintenance and construction project support, drive risk culture and continuous improvement across nationally distributed sites.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement risk assurance strategy across multiple waste treatment facilities.
- Lead auditing programme and trend analysis on technical and construction risk.
- Support planned maintenance outages and capital projects.
- Drive consistency in risk management and operational improvements.
- Influence stakeholders across operational sites nationally.
- Champion active risk culture across the business.
What We Need
- 5+ years Safety Advisor or Safety Manager experience in waste management, landfill, energy recovery or construction.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Auditing experience (internal/external).
- Stakeholder influence and site-based credibility.
- Excellent communication - internal and external facing.
