IT Support Specialist – 1st/2nd Line

Carbon60 is working with a leading engineering and maintenance organisation to recruit a skilled 1st/2nd Line IT Support Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Warrington. This is your chance to join a dynamic team supporting critical infrastructure across multiple sectors including energy, utilities, and pharmaceuticals. You\\\’ll be the go-to person for resolving hardware and software issues, delivering top-tier support via phone, email, and in-person.
What You\\\’ll Be Doing
- Providing responsive IT support across desktop, mobile, and telephony
- Building and deploying devices with the latest software and security standards
- Managing tickets, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring SLA compliance
- Collaborating with vendors and creating user-friendly documentation
- Visiting remote sites when needed and contributing to service improvements
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in 2nd Line/Desktop support in medium/large organisations
- A solid background in maintenance and support of relevant devices such as PCs, desk phones, mobiles amongst other hardware
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and network fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- UK Driving Licence required
Desirable Experience
- MCP certification
- Experience with multi-domain environments and mobile device management
