Project/Delivery Manager - Bioinformatics Platform
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Bracknell/Remote (Hybrid)
Rate: (INSIDE IR35) - circa. £37 per hour (PAYE) / £51.70 per hour (Umbrella)
SRG are partnered with a leading client within the Agriculture industry to source an experienced Project Manager to assist the business for a 12-month contract. This role, a Delivery Manager, will involve administrating and overseeing a successful implementation of a Bioinformatics Platform. The client is seeking someone who has experienced handling complex projects and liaise with multiple teams, functions, and external parties.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Operate as the central orchestrator, harmonizing diverse initiatives and ensuring their alignment with the overall project vision and organizational goals
- Facilitating collaboration between internal and external teams
- Managing high-level project timelines, coordinating with sub-initiative leaders on their specific deliverables
- Ensure that the administrative aspects of the project are managed efficiently, including contract management and budget
- Suggest and implement project management practices and standards
- Proactively identify and raise dependencies, risks, and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary
Skills & experience required
- 3+ years of experience in delivery management
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Expertise with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Mural, Smartsheet)
- Workshop orchestration and facilitation skills
- Strong stakeholder management abilities
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience in contract management
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and software development processes
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
- Experience in life sciences (preferred)
