Job Overview
We are looking for a hairdressing apprentice to join our busy salon. This role is available for someone that has a passion for the hairdressing industry and wants to earn while they learn in one of the largest and busiest salons in Plymouth.
As our apprentice, you will be able learn from and assist some of the most skilled hairstylists in the area whilst providing amazing service to our clients and maintaining the efficiency of the salon.
You will be involved in various aspects of salon management, customer service, and practical skills such as hairstyling, cutting, colouring & extension treatments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily salon operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients
- Provide support at the front desk, managing appointments and client inquiries
- Learn, practice and perform hairstyling services under the guidance of experienced staff
- Engage with customers to deliver outstanding service and promote products
- Participate in training sessions to develop your skills both in-salon & at college.
- Support upselling initiatives by recommending services and products that meet client needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the salon, ensuring the salon is always a clean & presentable space for customers.
Skills
- Strong communication skills. Being friendly, approachable and chatty is a major part of great customer service in a relaxed salon environment.
- A keen interest in hairdressing and all the service that come with it, with a willingness to learn. No experience is necessary but the desire to be the best is
- You will need to be comfortable being part of a large team, but also having a good level of your own initiative.
