We are growing and are therefore looking for further colleagues to strengthen our team at the earliest possible date as Buyer on site in our purchasing department reporting to the purchasing manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make their mark on an exciting and varied role, and support the continued improvement to our supply chain. Applicants are sought to work within the Purchasing Department and will provide key procurement support to the Purchasing Manager and other areas of the business to ensure continuity and efficiency of production and supply. Purchase goods, materials, components and services to meet cost, quality and delivery requirements. Maintain continuity of supply and promptly communicate any risks or disruptions. Identify cost-reduction opportunities and apply effective procurement practices. Select, assess and manage suppliers, including performance reviews and improvement plans. Maintain accurate procurement records, support MRP activities, resolve invoice queries and contribute to process and KPI improvements. Ideally a CIPS Level 4 or an equivalent purchasing qualification, and/or HND, degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. Experience in supplier selection, management and auditing, ideally in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of customs import/export procedures. Proficient in MRP or ERP systems and the Microsoft Office package. Ability to take ownership independently and work with minimum supervision, use initiative and manage competing priorities while also being a teamplayer. Ability to work from our site in Hope - please note, this is not a remote or hybrid role.
