We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our organisation’s financial operations for a well established and fast‑paced company. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in financial management and accounting software to contribute to our company’s strategic growth and stability reporting to Senior management and Directors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare all relevant financials, daily and weekly dashboard, monthly management accounts, quarterly reviews and end‑of‑year reports.
- Manage the organisation’s financial software systems, including Xero and other relevant platforms.
- Organise profit‑and‑loss statements, tax preparation, expense reports and payroll.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor cash flow, analyse financial performance, and provide insights to support decision‑making by senior management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal policies through diligent record‑keeping and reporting.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Develop internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Supervise finance team members, providing guidance on best practices in financial management.
Skills
- Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Excel and other relevant platforms.
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable procedures and overall financial processes.
