We are looking for an experienced E-commerce buyer to join our fast-growing online retail plant business at a pivotal stage in its development. This role offers real ownership over sourcing, product strategy and supplier management, and the opportunity to directly influence the growth and profitability of the business.

About the Role

You will manage the full buying and procurement cycle across our e-commerce channels, including Shopify, Amazon and eBay. This involves analysing demand, building effective product ranges, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the accuracy of all product and inventory data. The role is highly analytical — you will use sales data, trends and forecasts to plan stock, optimise ranges, improve margins and ensure availability. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience with e-commerce or WMS/ERP systems (ideally Linnworks) are essential. Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will help shape our product strategy and ensure we always offer the right products, at the right cost, in the right volumes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product & Range Management
    • Build and refine seasonal and core ranges using sales trends and marketplace insights
    • Identify new product opportunities through research and analysis
    • Manage full SKU onboarding (costings, specs, MOQs, compliance and pack formats)
    • Maintain accurate product data across Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Mirakl and Linnworks
  • Supplier Management & Negotiation
    • Source and onboard UK and international suppliers
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, rebates and volumes to maximise margin
    • Analyse landed costs and ensure competitiveness
    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
  • Commercial Performance
    • Own category performance: margin, sell-through, stock turn and GM%
    • Build forecasts and plan stock around seasonality and marketing activity
    • Use data dashboards and spreadsheets to optimise buying decisions
    • Identify risks and opportunities to drive range performance
  • Stock & Inventory Planning
    • Forecast demand using Excel/Sheets and marketplace trends
    • Maintain healthy stock levels while managing cash flow
    • Track shipments, lead times and replenishment cycles
    • Highlight slow-moving stock and propose clearance actions

Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in buying, merchandising, procurement or category management (eCommerce or retail preferred)
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivots, lookups, forecasting, modelling)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and build insights
  • Experience using ecommerce or WMS/ERP systems — Linnworks preferred
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central or Mirakl
  • Highly organised, detail-led and confident managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness

What We Offer

  • Salary from £40,000 depending on experience
  • Opportunity to shape and influence a rapidly growing brand
  • Genuine progression opportunities as the business expands
  • Supportive, entrepreneurial environment
  • Free parking and staff discount on products
