Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive inspections of all vehicles arriving at the Vehicle Preparation Centre.
- Assess and record vehicle condition, including bodywork, interior, tyres, wheels, glass, and mechanical defects.
- Identify damage, missing components, and any safety‑related concerns.
- Complete accurate digital inspection reports using company systems and handheld devices.
- Capture photographic evidence of vehicle condition where required.
- Ensure vehicle details and documentation are accurate and complete.
- Liaise with workshop, bodyshop, and preparation teams to ensure inspection findings are communicated effectively.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow all company quality procedures and health and safety policies.
- Support the efficient movement of vehicles within the preparation centre as required.
- Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience inspecting vehicles within the automotive, dealership, fleet, vehicle logistics, or preparation sector is desirable.
- Good understanding of vehicle condition standards and automotive terminology.
- Ability to identify cosmetic, mechanical, and safety‑related defects.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident using digital inspection systems and mobile technology.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
