Job Description
- Carry out Class 4 & Class 7 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and testing standards.
- Accurately assess vehicle roadworthiness and identify any defects or reasons for failure.
- Complete all MOT documentation and digital records accurately and efficiently.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure failed vehicles are repaired and retested promptly.
- Carry out vehicle health checks where required and identify additional repair requirements.
- Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with DVSA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all DVSA guidelines, company procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Support the wider workshop and vehicle preparation teams as required.
- Candidate Requirements
- Current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification.
- Previous experience carrying out MOT testing in a dealership, independent garage, fleet, or vehicle preparation environment.
- Sound mechanical knowledge and understanding of modern vehicle systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
