The Opportunity
As the Talent Lead at Caraway, you will own the full talent lifecycle – including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and scaling our employer brand. You will partner with senior leadership to anticipate hiring needs, build a scalable pipeline for high-growth, drive innovative sourcing strategies, and create an exceptional candidate and internal Crew experience.

Responsibilities
Talent Strategy + Leadership
- Architect and own the talent acquisition strategy aligned with Caraway’s business goals, including workforce planning, DEI objectives, employer branding, and candidate experience.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs, define role requirements, and influence workforce planning across functions (GTM, Marketing, Design, Operations, Finance, Product & Engineering).
- Build and nurture a proactive talent pipeline, sharing high potential candidates and hires ahead of demand
- Develop & manage a dynamic talent strategy that integrates full-time, contract and offshore talent.
- Support broader People Team initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
Sourcing, Recruiting, + Pipeline Management
- Design and implement proactive sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates, leveraging social media, communities, partnerships, and industry events.
- Own the full recruitment funnel from go-live to offer, optimizing time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, and candidate experience metrics.
- Standardize and train hiring managers on interview best practices, incorporating structured evaluations and DEI principles.
Employer Brand + Candidate Experience
- Elevate Caraway as an employer of choice by shaping a compelling employer brand in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
- Champion an inclusive, equitable candidate experience from first touch to onboarding, ensuring accessibility and fairness.
- Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices comply with labor laws, EEO regulations, and internal policies
Program Management + Metrics
- Define and track TA metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire, offer acceptance rate, DEI, candidate satisfaction).
- Manage TA technology stack (ATS, CRM, assessment tools, onboarding systems) and drive continuous improvement through data insights.
- Partner with IT and Security to ensure data integrity and security.
Onboarding + Offboarding Management
- Own and continuously improve the onboarding program for new hires, collaborating with the People Team, Hiring Managers, and Department Leads to ensure a smooth transition from offer to productivity.
- Coordinate all New Hire logistics including IT set-up, equipment, access, and compliance requirements are in place before day one.
- Monitor new hire progress through 30/60/90-day check-ins and initial performance indicators, maintaining an open feedback loop with new hires and managers to continuously improve the onboarding journey.
- Manage offboarding processes to ensure respectful, compliant departures with proper knowledge transfer, timely system and access shutdown, and equipment return.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather actionable insights and inform continuous improvement of the employee experience.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- 8+ years in Talent Management with progressive leadership experience
- 4+ years in consumer goods, CPG, or fast-growth environments
- Proven track record in leading and executing end-to-end recruitment for both individual contributor and leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in DEI initiatives and building diverse candidate slates.
- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management; ability to influence at the executive level.
- Expertise with TA technology (Applicant Tracking System, Candidate Relationship Management, assessments, onboarding platforms).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; high integrity and discretion.
- Project management and process optimization mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and a fast paced environment.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,000 – $160,000 – Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
