We're working exclusively with a leading European real estate finance platform seeking to hire an Associate Director into its Institutional Investors team. This is an opportunity to sit at the intersection of commercial real estate lending, capital markets and institutional investor coverage.
The role focuses on distributing and syndicating large-scale real estate debt transactions to insurance companies, pension funds and other institutional investors across Europe. You'll work closely with origination, underwriting and credit teams to structure and execute transactions while building strategic relationships with some of the largest debt investors in the market.
The opportunity
- Originate and develop relationships with insurance companies and institutional investors investing in private debt.
- Execute syndications, club deals and structured lending transactions across Europe.
- Work on complex real estate financings typically ranging from €80m-€100m+.
- Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to support origination strategy.
- Help structure transactions and negotiate solutions that work for borrowers, investors and internal stakeholders.
- Represent the platform at industry conferences and investor meetings.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of closing transactions and distributing debt to insurance companies.
We're particularly interested in individuals from:
- Institutional investor coverage roles.
- Real estate debt advisory firms (with an institutional client base)
- Lenders with significant syndication experience.
Experience underwriting and executing commercial real estate loans will be highly valued, as will exposure to cross-border European transactions. Additional European language skills are welcomed but not essential.
