The Role

As Associate Director, you’ll play a key leadership role within the underwriting team, driving transactions from initial assessment through full due diligence and execution. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the full underwriting and due diligence process.
  • Building and refining financial models and preparing credit applications.
  • Managing communication with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiating legal documentation with support from external counsel.
  • Reviewing valuation, QS, title, and other professional reports.
  • Supporting new business activity and attending client meetings.
  • Contributing to business improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in development finance underwriting, it's important you have significant experience of taking the lead on the legal docs.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience managing professional advisors and reviewing reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
