The Role
As Associate Director, you’ll play a key leadership role within the underwriting team, driving transactions from initial assessment through full due diligence and execution. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating the full underwriting and due diligence process.
- Building and refining financial models and preparing credit applications.
- Managing communication with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiating legal documentation with support from external counsel.
- Reviewing valuation, QS, title, and other professional reports.
- Supporting new business activity and attending client meetings.
- Contributing to business improvements and cross-functional initiatives.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in development finance underwriting, it's important you have significant experience of taking the lead on the legal docs.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Experience managing professional advisors and reviewing reports.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
