Our client, a leading international bank, seeks an experienced real estate finance professional (Associate Director / VP equivalent / Assistant Manager level) for their European real estate finance business based in London.
The position will involve the sourcing (in either a support, or lead role) , underwriting, execution, and portfolio management of big-ticket REF deals (acquisition and construction financing), for top-tier (mainly institutional) borrowers, predominantly in the UK, but also select Western European countries.
The Bank currently lends against office, logistics and BTR, with plans to expand into other sectors, including operational real estate asset classes.
The successful candidate will have circa 5+ years’ REF end-to-end credit lifecycle experience, be credit trained, have a good appreciation of risk, and a demonstrable track record of structuring transactions, reviewing and negotiating legal docs, and strong cash flow analysis skills.
Our client is open to considering candidates currently working for banks, debt funds, alternate lenders, or debt advisors.
Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential. A second European language would be desirable, but not essential.
Salary is dependent on experience, but up to a maximum of £100k + a competitive, performance-related discretionary bonus (paid annually) + benefits.
