The predicted salary is between 30624 - 30624 £ per year.
Hourly rate in line with London Living Wage at £14.80. Flexible shifts with minimum 27 hours p/week. Based at our Islington roastery (N7 9DP) with alternating shifts 6am to 3pm and 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Potential weekend shifts may be required.
The production team are our last step in supplying great tasting, well presented coffee on-time to our online, out-of-home and retail customers. They are responsible for bagging our range of roasted coffees in line with the daily production plan and our quality standards on the newly automated vertical form fill seal machine. Plus, fulfilling and packing all orders accurately and in advance of courier collections. All whilst maintaining excellent food safety standards, accurate inventory levels and stock takes.
Responsibilities:
- Vertical form fill seal: supporting Production Technical Manager with running the new production line, managing changeovers, troubleshooting any challenges with the machinery.
- Bagging and packaging coffee: executing daily production plan with high attention to detail, ensuring accurate packaging, batch codes and dates are applied.
- Packing and fulfilling orders: picking D2C and B2B orders accurately and efficiently to support on-time despatch with delivery providers.
- Stock control: maintaining accurate daily stock levels and carrying out monthly stock takes to aide cost of sales reporting and availability planning.
- Machinery maintenance & cleaning: executing daily and weekly maintenance schedule in line with SOPs, troubleshooting any challenges with machinery.
- Goods-in put away: organising items received into roastery into storage location and accounting for this on Unleashed inventory platform with supervisor.
- Roastery floor orderliness & cleanliness: ensuring that all production items have a place and are organised well for the workflow, keeping high standards of cleanliness and tidiness on the production floor.
- Health & Safety, SALSA compliance: maintaining a safe and compliant environment by wearing provided PPE & uniforms, keeping foreign objects, food, uncovered drinks and glass off production floor.
Personal Requirements:
- Team player: You’ll be working with the wider production, roasting and customer service team to keep production and fulfilment running on track.
- Technically minded with experience working on automated production lines e.g. vertical form fill seal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently execute our quality standards.
- Self-sufficient problem solver.
- Comfortable with working to tight daily courier and production deadlines.
- Health & safety and food safety trained.
- High standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Stock control knowledge.
- Strong IT literacy.
- Production or warehouse fulfilment experience.
