Key Tasks/Accountabilities
- Assist in the preparation of the Club’s management accounts, working alongside the Financial Accountant and Finance Business Partners to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Prepare weekly/monthly KPI information relating to the Club’s various business activities.
- Prepare journal entries, including month end and year end adjustments.
- Ensure accurate and timely period end accounting, including completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Report on the Club’s capital expenditure against budget, and in liaison with other departments, provide an accurate forecast for expenditure for the remainder of the year.
- Support in the production of quarterly trading forecasts by working closely with finance business partners and key stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly VAT return.
- Provide ad hoc financial and management information/reporting to the wider business.
- Support finance transformation and efficiency improvements, such as reporting enhancements.
- Assist in the production and consolidation of the Club’s annual budget.
- Support in the preparation of year end financial statements and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Essential Skills And Experience Required
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA – recently qualified or part qualified
- Experience producing management accounts, year end statutory accounts and annual budgets
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain work relationships with internal stakeholders
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to use Word and Excel proficiently
- Working to deadlines
- SAP system knowledge preferable
