About you You are a driven and passionate classic car fan with a relentless hunger for success. You are a natural-born negotiator and can spot opportunities in every interaction, whether convincing potential clients to auction their vehicles or gathering feedback from buyers and sellers to enhance our services. You are an organised and persuasive individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment for a rapidly growing tech business. You’re determined to make a name for yourself in the classic car world and what could be better than getting paid for doing what you love! About the role You will start by reaching out to any contacts you have, as well as prospecting new leads from customers who have classified ads on our site and trying to get them to list their vehicles on our auction platform. You will manage your vehicles through all stages of the pipeline, ensuring customers receive the best possible service, in turn becoming repeat customers and brand advocates. We’re lucky to have thousands of user-generated listings submitted monthly with content gems from James Bond’s Aston DB5 to Elvis Presley’s Cadillac. The site is old, launched in 2005 but under new, VC-backed ownership since 2018 and on an exciting triple-digit growth journey to bring classic vehicle transactions online. We’re looking for a Sales Negotiatorwho has good, relevant experience and wants to make their mark in a rapid-growth business where they can make a real difference, whilst enjoying the environment and culture. Role and responsibilities Consign Vehicles: Ensure the right pricing to move 40 vehicles per month effectively. Generate New Customers: Use your contacts and prospecting skills to bring new customers onto our platform. Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with sellers and clients, focusing on trust and reliability. Encourage Repeat Business: Provide excellent service to encourage repeat business and loyalty from sellers. Lead Online Auction Sales: Guide sellers through the online auction process, maximising their selling potential. Attend Networking Events: Represent our brand at networking events to increase awareness and build connections. The skills, attributes and experience you must have: Classic Car Knowledge &Experience: Good knowledge and expertise in the classic car market, demonstrating successful sales outcomes. Experience in Making Outbound Calls: Proficiency in conducting outbound calls, from cold outreach to warm lead follow-ups, with a focus on relationship building and sales conversion. Target-Driven Mindset: Thrives in a target-driven environment, consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and performance metrics. Passion for Classic Cars: Genuine interest in classic cars, with a network of contacts within the classic car community and a deep understanding of the market. Tech-Savvy: Confident navigating multiple digital platforms simultaneously, working in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment. Ability to Generate Contacts: Skilled in generating contacts from scratch, whether through networking, prospecting, or other means, to expand the client base and drive sales opportunities. Strong Customer Service Skills: Exceptional ability to build rapport and provide top-notch service to clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to both clients and colleagues.
