Caramel is a luxury British brand launched in 1999 as a more creative and contemporary approach to childrenswear. At Caramel we design, source and manufacture our own collection which is sold in our boutiques in London, Japan, and Paris and on our website as well as wholesale distribution to over 100 stockists worldwide. We are looking for a driven and innovative individual who is passionate about fashion and design, has the desire to invest in our brand and wants to contribute to its growth, to join us as our Production Manager.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager located in London. The Production Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the production department. This includes overseeing the production team, managing production schedules, ensuring quality control and managing relationships with other departments within the company. The Production Manager will be responsible for driving production for all categories on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage seasonal critical path calendars with Design, highlighting key developments, and communicating key dates.
  • Ensure lead times are being met and product deadlines are met across women, kids & home.
  • Manage relationships with factories and fabric mills.
  • Conduct all factory price negotiations pre and post-market.
  • Conduct seasonal projections and margin roll-up in review meetings with Director.
  • Develop seasonal product line sheets, establish target retail costs and margin goals.
  • Set up a production schedule and maintain it throughout the season.
  • Enter all CMT fabric tech details into Zedonk for production fabric ordering and distribute these to the mill for their required drop dead date.
  • Support design across material sourcing and research during the development stage.
  • Set up all new wash care labels and woven labels required for each factory per season.
  • Manage all exporting of bulk fabric to the production factories from EU mills.
  • Support junior team members.
  • Advise sales teams on delivery dates and product drop dates in weekly meetings.
  • Oversee quality control for the Brand.
  • Report and update Creative Director on all aspects of Production and deliveries.
  • Manage deliveries from suppliers to UK and international warehouses.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
  • Experience in production management, preferably in the fashion or luxury goods industry.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience with production management software (ZEDONK).
  • Experience in logistics and managing logistic costs internationally.
