Role Description

This is a full time, on site Designer role based in Ladbroke Grove. The Designer will be responsible for conceptualising and creating innovative designs across Caramel’s product lines, ensuring alignment with the brand's aesthetic. Key tasks include:

  • Research, trend analysis, sketching, creating patterns, selecting materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring collections to life.
  • Contributing to the presentation of designs and overseeing production to ensure quality and precision.
  • Developing seasonal concepts aligned with the brand vision, including research, mood boards, and design overviews.
  • Designing garments across multiple categories (e.g. jersey, wovens, knitwear) from initial concept through to final approval.
  • Creating detailed sketches, CADs, technical drawings, and technical packs.
  • Working closely with creative designer, suppliers, and pattern cutters to ensure design intent is realised.
  • Participating in fittings, providing clear feedback on fit, proportion, and finish.
  • Creating and maintaining technical packs (specs, BOMs, construction details).
  • Ensuring consistency in quality, fit, and construction across the range.
  • Working closely with Merchandising, Buying, and Production teams to ensure collections meet commercial objectives.
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support sampling and production.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Visual teams to communicate seasonal concepts.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in fashion design and pattern creation, with knowledge of textile selection and construction.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent skills in trend research, concept development, and creating innovative designs tailored to modern luxury aesthetics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working within cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in luxury fashion is preferred.
