Commitment
We are looking for an exceptional Junior Wholesale Manager to join our team. Reporting to the
Commercial Director, you will develop and maintain relationships with partners and implement a
global strategy across key markets. This role presents a rewarding opportunity when the company is
embarking on a period of exciting strategic growth. We are looking for a candidate to help support us
shape the future of our wholesale business and other commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily assistance to the Commercial Director on wholesale administrative tasks
(including reporting, scheduling, and communications).
- Manage relationships with a range of partners (from department stores to independent
retailers and online) to drive business and ensure strong sell-throughs. This includes partner
training, sales incentives, marketing activations, and product knowledge communications.
- Develop and manage internal and external reporting to maximize team performance,
providing key data and insights to management.
- Assist in seasonal market preparation, including market prep data, customer appointment
management, showroom/tradeshow setup, appointment running and relationship building
etc.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, merchandising, finance, and logistics teams
to ensure timely deliveries and meet customer expectations.
- Ensure effective seasonal account management, including maintaining up-to-date customer
shipping and payment records, managing master files, and uploading tracking orders in
Zedonk. Retrieve and send order confirmations within the required timeframe.
- Prepare and deliver product knowledge to customers, managing the calendar for product
training sessions (virtual and in-person) each season.
- Drive business growth by researching and developing new partner opportunities that align
with brand values and complement the existing portfolio.
- Work with Marketing, Press, and Social teams to create key account communication plans
that drive brand awareness, sales, and strategic collaborations.
- Support on Buying and merchandising.
- Support partner activations both in-store and digitally, in line with the overall company
strategy.
- Support Caramel team and engage with prospective customers at tradeshows.
- Be open to supporting on other commercial opportunities such as trunk shows and concession management.
The Candidate
- Commitment to the Caramel vision.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in wholesale.
- Educated to degree level (desirable).
- Excellent knowledge of and contacts in the luxury fashion and key accounts worldwide
- Ability to work autonomously once assignments and directions are instructed.
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively and maintain a positive attitude while moving
between changing priorities.
- Strong organisational and follow-through skills; must pay attention to the details.
- Proven track record of proactively gaining and retaining new clients.
- Outstanding organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- A team player, able to multitask and work in a dynamic and reactive environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Sales-oriented with good negotiation skills.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Willing to travel.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
