Caralex Recruitment Limited are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded housebuilder based in Buckinghamshire who are looking to appoint an Estimator. The company is looking for an experienced Estimator who is comfortable in preparing and controlling budgets, maintaining a build cost database, and producing cost plans for new build residential projects. The role is an important position within the commercial team, working closely with the land team on land appraisals for potential sites they are looking to acquire, and the sales team on specification and pricing. You will have either worked for: – a housebuilding development company in an estimating or quantity surveying role, working on land appraisals, cash flows, budgets and costs and familiar with preparing information for the quantity surveying & buying teams. – an affiliated industry such as a groundworks or bricklaying subcontractor, a cost consultancy / PQS firm or for a social housing contractor and have good estimating software experience
