We're partnering with a leading international retail organisation undergoing a significant data transformation programme.

As they continue to modernise their technology landscape, they're looking for a

Dev Ops Analyst to help support and optimise their enterprise data platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the operational side of data and technology, working at the intersection of Data Engineering, Platform Operations, and Dev Ops practices.

You'll play a key role in ensuring critical data products and platforms operate reliably, efficiently, and at scale.

Working closely with Data Engineers and Platform teams, you'll help monitor, support, and continuously improve a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving operational processes, and ensuring business-critical data services run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support data pipelines, workflows, and platform services.
  • Investigate incidents, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Support deployments and release activities across multiple environments.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
  • Drive improvements in monitoring, alerting, and platform observability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance platform stability and performance.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Analyse recurring issues and identify opportunities to reduce operational risk.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience supporting data, cloud, or platform-based environments.
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data pipelines.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, ideally Azure.
  • Experience with Databricks, Azure Dev Ops, dbt, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of incident management, root cause analysis, and production support processes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and release management practices.
  • Exposure to Python or scripting languages would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Why Apply?

  • Join a large-scale business undergoing a major data transformation.
  • Work with modern cloud and data technologies.
  • Gain exposure to Data Ops, Dev Ops, and platform engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with high-performing engineering and analytics teams.
  • Help shape the future operational model of a growing data function.

If you're currently supporting data platforms, managing production incidents, coordinating releases, or helping cloud-based data environments run smoothly, this is an opportunity to take those skills into a business investing heavily in its modern data platform and Data Ops capabilities.
