IT Project Manager - Hatfield - Hybrid - 6 months - Outside IR35 - Immediate start -
An opportunity is available for an experienced IT Project Manager with a retail background, to manage the safe, efficient deployment of MDM and Range Management solutions into production.
This role provides central coordination and governance across technical and business functions, ensuring deployment risks are managed effectively while minimizing operational disruption.
Summary of Responsibility
- Formulate and execute comprehensive cutover strategies, runbooks, and readiness assessments.
- Coordinate business and technical deployment activities, managing sequence logic and critical path dependencies.
- Validate environment, platform, and operational readiness alongside testing sign-offs prior to launch.
- Direct dress rehearsals, go/no-go checkpoints, communication protocols, and escalation paths.
- Establish rollback procedures and contingency recovery frameworks to mitigate deployment risks.
- Lead post-deployment transitions, completing handover evidence and managing the route into hypercare.
Requirements to be Successful
- Demonstrated experience coordinating enterprise-level software deployments and system cutovers
- Deep expertise in constructing detailed runbooks, technical dependency maps, and deployment timelines.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, consulting across technical, operational, and business units.
- Experience establishing acceptance criteria, go/no-go governance, and hyper care transitions.
- Proven ability to assess inputs—such as data migration plans, infrastructure readiness, and test sign-offs—to produce clear strategic outputs.
