About the Role

Health and Safety Manager is a full-time role based in Hatfield, part office based with site visits to UK projects.

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures across civil engineering and construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring safe systems of work are in place.
  • Delivering safety inductions and training.
  • Investigating incidents and near misses.
  • Preparing reports and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Full driving licence
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Required Skills
  • Experience in Construction, Engineering or Groundworks
  • Worked on Infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication skills
