CVM World is looking for a practical, reliable and motivated Vehicle Service Technician to join our growing team. This role would suit someone who has completed a college course or equivalent training in vehicle maintenance and has gained around 2-3 years hands-on experience in the motor trade. We are not looking for a highly specialised diagnostic technician. Instead, we are looking for someone who is confident carrying out routine servicing, general maintenance and basic mechanical repairs to a good standard.

You will be working as part of a supportive workshop team, helping to prepare, maintain and repair vehicles as part of our vehicle conversion process.

Key responsibilities
  • Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance.
  • Replacing brake discs, pads and other consumable parts.
  • Completing general MOT-related repairs.
  • Checking vehicles for basic mechanical issues.
  • Supporting the wider workshop team with preparation and repair work.
  • Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a good standard.
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe.
  • Following company procedures and health and safety expectations.
  • Highlighting any additional repair requirements to senior members of the team.
What we are looking for
  • Around 2-3 years experience in a vehicle mechanic, service technician or similar role.
  • A relevant college qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
  • Confidence with basic servicing and general vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience replacing brakes and other common wear-and-tear parts.
  • A practical, hands-on approach.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • Reliability, good timekeeping and a positive attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Advanced diagnostic experience is not essential for this role, although a willingness to learn would be welcomed.
