About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer / All-Round Bodyshop Technician to join our workshop team. This role would suit someone who takes real pride in the quality of their finish but is also practical, flexible and willing to support the wider team. We are not looking for someone who only wants to work in the spray booth. We are looking for an all-rounder who is happy to spray, prepare, mask, finish, strip, fit and support wherever needed to get the vehicle completed to the right standard.

The successful candidate will be a time-served or experienced sprayer who can paint vehicles and vehicle repairs to a high standard. You will also be expected to be involved in preparation before vehicles enter the spray booth, including light filling, sanding, masking and light panel work where appropriate. There will also be a finishing element to the role, ensuring that vehicles are presented in the best possible condition before they leave us and are handed over to the customer.

At CVM World, we work as One Team. This means everyone takes responsibility for quality, deadlines and supporting colleagues. The right person will be willing to do whatever task is necessary to keep work moving and help the team deliver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spraying vehicles, panels and vehicle repairs to a high standard.
  • Completing light preparation and minor bodyshop tasks where required.
  • Supporting with stripping and fitting parts when needed.
  • Carrying out finishing work to ensure vehicles are presented to a high standard.
  • Checking details such as trims, wheels, door shuts, seat bases and flooring as part of the final finish.
  • Working closely with the spray shop supervisor and wider production team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Helping to keep vehicles moving through the workshop efficiently.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness and organisation.
  • Following all operating procedures, including health and safety requirements.
  • Taking a flexible approach to support other tasks when priorities change.

About You

We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable and willing to get stuck in. You will need to be confident in your paint spraying ability, but equally prepared to support with preparation, finishing and general workshop tasks. You will be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have experience as a vehicle paint sprayer, prepper/painter or bodyshop technician.
  • Can spray vehicles and repairs to a high standard.
  • Have a good eye for detail and take pride in the finished product.
  • Are confident with light preparation, masking, sanding and filling.
  • Are willing to support with stripping and fitting when required.
  • Are practical, hardworking and flexible.
  • Can work well with others and communicate clearly.
  • Are organised and able to manage your work effectively.
  • Can problem-solve and work to deadlines.
  • Are willing to support the wider team, not just your own immediate area.
  • Have a positive attitude and understand the importance of working as One Team.

Experience with light commercial vehicles, vehicle conversions, vans or bodyshop repair work would be an advantage, but attitude, workmanship and flexibility are just as important.

Our Core Values

At CVM World, how we work matters as much as what we produce. We are looking for someone who will contribute positively to our culture and demonstrate our values in their day-to-day work.

  • One Team: You will support colleagues, help across different areas when needed and take shared responsibility for getting vehicles completed.
  • Openness: You will communicate clearly, raise issues early and work constructively with others to solve problems.
  • Quality: You will take pride in your work and understand that the finish of a vehicle reflects the standards of the whole business.
  • Responsibility: You will be dependable, organised and willing to do what is needed to meet deadlines and support customers.

What We Can Offer

  • Competitive salary of £34,000 to £40,000, depending on experience.
  • Flexibility in salary for the right experienced all-rounder.
  • Early finish every Friday.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 28 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Varied work across light commercial vehicles, vehicle conversions and customised builds.
  • The opportunity to join a growing family-run business where your contribution matters.

Location

Our premises are based in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, just a 10-minute drive from the A500.
