About Car Planet
Car Planet is one of the fastest growing car supermarkets in the region, with retail branches in Barnet and Watford and our Mega Centre in Enfield serving as our head office and workshop facility. As our digital presence continues to grow, we are looking for a driven and hands-on SEO Manager to take ownership of our organic search strategy and help drive high-intent traffic, vehicle enquiries, and online sales.
The Role
As SEO Manager, you will be responsible for building, implementing and optimising our complete SEO strategy across all locations and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Page SEO
- Keyword research and search intent analysis
- Optimising vehicle listings, category pages and landing pages
- Improving meta data, headings and content structure
- Creating SEO-focused content strategies to increase rankings and conversions
- Off-Page SEO
- Developing and executing effective link-building campaigns
- Outreach and digital PR opportunities
- Monitoring backlink profile and domain authority
- Technical SEO
- Conducting full site audits (crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals)
- Working with developers to implement technical improvements
- Improving internal linking and overall site architecture
- AI SEO
- Using AI tools to support keyword discovery and content optimisation
- Implementing AI-driven strategies to stay ahead of evolving search trends
- Monitoring changes in AI-led search results and adapting strategy accordingly
About You
Minimum 2+ years hands-on SEO experience
Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page and technical SEO
Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar
Analytical, commercially aware and results-driven
Able to work independently and take ownership of performance
Automotive experience is beneficial but not essential
