Job Title: Car Mechanic Reporting to: Workshop Manager Department: Mechanical Are you a Vehicle Mechanic, with 5+ years’ experience? Are you a great problem solver? If so, this might be the right role for you! We have an opportunity for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to lead our new Car Supermarket’s in-house mechanical team in Watford stocking 400 + used cars). You will have will be working in our own state-of-the-art workshop. Your focus is on delivering great results with a quality ‘First Time Fix’. What will I be doing? Service, diagnose and repair a fleet of mixed vehicles to the highest manufacturer standards Utilize latest technology to diagnose and repair engines, gearboxes, and clutches, following a ‘fix, not replace’ philosophy. Carry out road tests when required to confirm and diagnose correct operation Ensure workspace and tools/equipment is maintained to a high standard What do I need for this role? Your own tools 5+ years experience as a vehicle technician Understand and comply with health and safety standards A full and valid Driving Licence It will be a bonus if you had: MOT Tester qualification NVQ (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Technology Lvl3+ The Package
