Car Park Services Ltd is seeking an organised and motivated Business Support Officer to join our Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation recognised with Investors in People accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to developing and supporting our employees. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our appeals, customer communication, and administrative processes while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and determine Penalty Charge Notices/Parking Charges appeals in line with legal requirements and company procedures
- Monitor appeal outcomes and help identify opportunities for process improvement
- Support debt recovery processes while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Prepare appeal evidence packs and documentation for adjudicators and where necessary represent the company at hearings
- Assist with court documentation and legal processes where required
- Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and written correspondence
- Maintain accurate records and operational data using Excel
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Ensure compliance with relevant parking legislation and company standards
- Contribute ideas to improve internal processes and procedures
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A customer-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Technical Skills
Good Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Data entry and record keeping
- Sorting and filtering data
- Basic formulas
- Experience with pivot tables or VLOOKUP is desirable but not essential.
Education
GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) essential
Experience
Minimum 1 year office or administrative experience
Working Hours
This is a full-time position based on a rotating shift pattern. The successful candidate will be required to work on a rota basis, which includes the following shifts: 9:00am - 5:00pm and 10:30am - 6:30pm. Applicants must be willing to work both shift patterns, as scheduled, to meet the operational needs of the business. Occasional Saturday working will also be required as part of the rota. Where you are scheduled to work on a Saturday, you will receive a weekday off in lieu. Flexibility is essential, as working patterns may vary in line with business requirements.
