Workshop Controller / Warranty Administrator Motorvogue are a forward-thinking company working with the following brands across 6 locations: Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, CUPRA, SEAT, Hyundai, Citroen, Peugeot and Omoda & Jaecoo. With showrooms in Northampton, Bedford, King’s Lynn, Norwich, and Bury St Edmunds, our sixth site opened in Dunstable in April 2024. We continue to grow and develop moving forward. We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller, who is also able to undertake the Warranty administration to work with and represent the fantastic Hyundai brand. Hyundai are at the forefront of automotive technology and a class leader in EV vehicles. With an ever-increasing market share it's a really exciting time to be strengthening our relationship with the brand. Dunstable is our third Hyundai site, as we currently represent Hyundai at Bedford and Norwich. As a Workshop Controller, you will assist with the daily operation of the workshop and its various components, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will monitor and control the use of all workshop resources to ensure maximum positive impact on the quality of work. The Workshop Controller will be key to maintaining high standards and ensuring the team operates efficiently, producing high-quality work.

Your Key Responsibilities As a Workshop Controller Will Include:

  • Allocate work fairly, according to skills, ability and considering deadlines
  • Lead, supervise, and provide direction to our Repair Technicians.
  • Ensure all paperwork and job cards are completed and full write ups explaining works are clear and concise for advisors and customers.
  • Manage the work area, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness for efficient operations.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance and ensure sensitive information is communicated appropriately.
  • Responsibility for the efficient running of the workshop and maintaining high levels of productivity.
  • Cost up all appropriate works found and follow the process for sell up.
  • Make sure all vehicles have appropriate Health Checks carried out.
  • Ensure all training is carried out and team assisted in achieving our customer satisfaction targets.
  • Ensuring the workshop equipment and tools are maintained, thus maintaining a professional workshop environment at all times.
  • Liaise with the Service Department to ensure customers are kept informed and manage any complaints that may arise, assisting the Aftersales Manager in managing customer expectations effectively.
  • Skills and experience required as a Workshop Controller:
  • Leadership experience in managing large teams.
  • Extensive understanding of the vehicle repair industry, vehicle legislation, and trade practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and a willingness to learn software tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy.
  • Effective communication skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a drive to inspire your team.

The Warranty Administrator side of the role will involve accurately processing warranty claims to the manufacturers high standards:

  • Accurately processing warranty claims to the manufacturers high standards.
  • Examining completed warranty repair orders, prepare claim forms and supporting material and ensure maximum return from the manufacturer for all warranty work including the issue of credit notes and associated paperwork.
  • Responsible for inputting the manufacturer’s warranty payments, return of warranty parts to manufacturer and reconciliation of warranty schedule, all to be completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle conflicting demands, identify priorities and schedule work appropriately
The role is full-time Monday-Friday.
