Car Dealer Recruitment is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with diagnostic experience to join a busy and established automotive workshop based in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident carrying out servicing, mechanical repairs and basic diagnostic work across a range of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing basic electrical and mechanical faults
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
- Completing brake, suspension, steering and general repair work
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required
- Accurately completing job cards and recording all work undertaken
- Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally
Requirements
- Applicants must have at least three years of hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Be capable of carrying out basic vehicle diagnostics
- Have their own tools
- Be confident working independently
- Have strong mechanical and fault-finding skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Take pride in delivering high-quality work
- Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred, although applications from experienced technicians with a strong practical background will also be considered.
