We are recruiting an experienced Master Technician to join a busy main franchised dealership in West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician who is confident dealing with complex diagnostics and technical faults and wants to join a professional franchised dealer environment with excellent facilities and manufacturer support.
The Role
As Master Technician, you'll play a key role within the workshop, taking responsibility for more complex technical and diagnostic work while supporting the wider technician team. Responsibilities will include:
- Advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Diagnosing and rectifying complex electrical and mechanical faults
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
- Supporting technicians with difficult or unusual faults
- Ensuring repairs are completed correctly and efficiently
- Liaising with the Workshop Controller and Service team on technical issues
- Keeping up to date with manufacturer training and new vehicle technology
- Maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced technician operating at Master Technician or senior diagnostic level. Ideally, you'll have:
- Current or previous Master Technician accreditation
- Strong main dealer or manufacturer experience
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems
- Level 3 Automotive qualification or equivalent
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles would be advantageous
- Ability to support and mentor less experienced technicians
- Full UK driving licence
