You are an experienced, personable, outgoing sales professional with a passion for building relationships with clients. You thrive when picking up the phone to call potential clients, discussing our products and their value.

You specialise in growing and maintaining a client portfolio in a B2B sales environment. You are detail-oriented in your work and able to follow a process and record interactions within a CRM. If you have direct experience with acquiring new customers and successfully retaining repeat business then we would love to speak with you.

About The Role

Joining a newly established team of Account Managers and Business Development Managers responsible for building relationships with dealers and enabling their business growth through our Dealer Subscriptions product.

You’ll be sourcing and prospecting new leads from trade customers to discuss how they will benefit from listing their stock on our marketplace and increasing the stock content on our site. You will report on customer engagement with trade listings to demonstrate the value of our site to sellers.

We’re lucky to have thousands of user-generated listings submitted monthly with content gems from James Bond’s Aston DB5 to Elvis Presley’s Cadillac. The site is old, launched in 2005 but under new, VC-backed ownership since 2018 and on an exciting triple-digit growth journey to bring classic vehicle transactions online.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager that has good, relevant experience and wants to make their mark in a rapid growth business where they can make a real difference, whilst enjoying the environment and culture.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets & KPIs
  • Identify and target dealerships that align with our brand and platform to bring their vehicles onto our marketplace.
  • Acquiring new Trade customers onto our listing subscriptions through prospective calls & emails.
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with Trade sellers/clients
  • Maximising the benefit to our Trade customers and growing their account with us.
  • Maintaining accurate records within a CRM and subscription management platform
  • Follow up with Trade sellers/clients to review our service and secure subscription renewal

The skills, attributes and experience you must have:

  • B2B Sales: Experience working in B2B sales, ideally in the automotive or marketplace industry selling subscription packages.
  • Prospecting: Experience in generating sales relationships from scratch through multiple channels such as outbound calls.
  • Targets & KPIs: Demonstrable experience working and exceeding in a target-driven environment.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent customer service skills, able to build long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written English and high-level communication skills.
  • Proactive: A hands-on, get-stuff-done, action-orientated approach.
  • Passionate: Interest in classic cars is a bonus.
