We’re now looking for an Assistant Underwriter to join our Bradford based underwriting team.

Whether you’ve gained experience through internships, have had exposure to underwriting or other areas within insurance or you are simply interested in beginning your career within insurance, this role offers hands‑on experience and clear development opportunities.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with data analysis and reporting, including preparing and maintaining underwriting reports using Excel
- Help maintain broker and client relationships through effective communication and timely responses.
- Research new business opportunities and monitor market trends.
- Support pricing decisions on multi million £ portfolios
- Contribute to compliance and regulatory processes
We’re looking for a candidate with a strong academic background, ideally in a numerate or business‑focused discipline such as Mathematics, Sciences such as Chemistry or Physics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Business. You may have gained some experience in insurance through an internship or up to 1–2 years in a similar role, with any underwriting or insurance exposure considered advantageous but this is not essential. You’ll bring strong analytical skills and confidence working with data, alongside solid Excel and reporting capabilities. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a proactive attitude are key, as is strong attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn and develop.
