Capula is seeking a motivated Operations Graduate to join our dynamic Operations team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in trade operations within a leading financial services firm. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training to understand the full trade lifecycle across various asset classes such as ETD, Equity, Fixed Income, and OTC products. The role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in finance, strong analytical capabilities, and a good eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage daily trade processing, valuations, reconciliations, and settlement activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with Trading, IT, Legal, and Brokers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in the implementation and documentation of strategic IT and operational process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Adhere to operational risk controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A strong academic record, typically a 2:1 or above, from a recognized university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and operations.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and work collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn tools like Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Coding skills in VBA, SQL, or Python are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Previous internship or work experience in financial services is preferred but not essential.
